Halloween was a little late this year......

Our neighborhood decieded to have trick or treating on November 12th so the children wouldn't miss it this year.    Aaron took the boys around the neighborhood and Sean helped me hand out the candy.  A great time was had by all!

Making cookies for Veterans Day

Since we were unable to make Halloween cookies this year (related to no power), I thought the boys would enjoy making Veteran Day cookies.     We made our own frosting.   We made red (it turned out pink), blue, and yellow (the boys thought white was too boring!)    Sean had a great time watching and eating cookies

Challenges, that make up STRONGER!

It started out as a typically Saturday, October 29th evening.   The boys were getting excited for Halloween and were trying on different costumes to find the perfect one.    We watched the evening news and found out that Nor'easter was heading our way!    Here the boys are looking out the window in excitement as the snow is starting to fall.........

Ryan called Nana to tell her the exciting news.   Little did we know what to expect next.......out went the lights around 5pm.......  As we laid in bed that night, we could hear tree limbs cracking and then nervously wait until we heard if crash to the ground.   We were very lucky that none hit our house.

There the boys are playing in the snow.  They even build a snowman. (Baby Sean was taking a nap)

As the days with power continued, the house continued to get colder.

Little did me know that we could not get power back until the following Saturday.   A whole week without power!
As difficult as it was, it has made us stronger!    We took the kids out to Dennys and Taco Bell for dinner.   Something we never would have done before.  They were all so well behaved and it was a great experience.    This experience also helped me put things into perspective.     I now have an attitude of gratitude!
