Matthew started flag football this week. They have practice every Tuesday and Thursday and then games on Friday night. Matthew had a great first practice and stated that he learned a lot. He was excited to share with me that they are playing during half time at one of the high school football games and then at a U Mass game! Pretty cool.
I was discussing with him that the coach stated that they practice in rain and snow, unlike t-ball when they stopped when it started to rain. Matthew then responded, "Well, maybe I should switch to indoor tennis." (Haha, sounds like his mother!)
This afternoon Matthew was telling Auntie Chickie and Uncle John, I ran so hard at football..... "I ran myself out like a battery!"
I forgot to send Aaron with the camera, so I will take pictures at the first game!

Mommy becomes the family barber!
Since we will soon be a family with 5 males, we thought it would be a good idea to invest in our own barber set. I first gave Aaron a hair cut using the "buzzers" and I personally think that it turned out pretty good! Ryan was my next project. He did a great job sitting still, but as I was using the razor around his ears, he got a little restless and wanted to hold the buzzers. I thought that I put the cover on the buzzers, but instead put on the eye brow trimmer blade. So needless to say when he put the buzzers on his head to pretend to cut his hair, he actally took a chunk right out of the top of his hair!
I waited until the next day to try cutting Matthew's hair.... well I still need practice, don't look too close around his ears!
I am still planning how I am going to tackle Connor's hair!

The funny things they say......
This past weekend, Matthew was telling GG about going to Cracker Barrel dinner (using the gift card that GG had given Daddy for his birthday). Matthew stated that it was the best cheeseburger that he had ever had. He told her that it was pickles on it, which were great. Matthew said, "I have become a pickle fan."
Today I asked Ryan if he wanted to make playdoh. He stated, "No, I don't like playdoh... it is dirty!" I told him that there was a new recipe that we could try using honey and peanut butter, and we would even be able to eat some while playing with it. Ryan looked at me with disbelief and stated, "That's disgusting!"

GG 91st Birthday party
Vacation Bible School
Matthew attended vacation Bible School and the theme was Super Heros. It was all morning, Monday thru Friday. I was nervous for Matthew since I didn't think that he was going to know any of the other children, but just like his Daddy that didn't bother him at all and he made friends quickly. Matthew participated in service projects such as: writing letters to oversea soliders, collecting money for people with leprosy, a car wash to raise money to buy school supplies for the back pack program. Matthew learned a lot of new songs and enjoyed practicing them in the car with the cd that they church provided us with. On Friday evening they held a closing rally, where the children sang songs, and the church provided hot dogs and ice cream. All three boys had a great time singing and dancing. Even a few times, Ryan got up on the stage when Matthew was singing and started to dance. Overall it was a wonderful experience for Matthew!
